Hamilton Chu was the executive producer of Hearthstone mostly responsible for writing the flavor text for Whispers of the Old Gods expansion as well as planning and business operations for Hearthstone.
He said in a tweet from 4/22:
“Today is my last day at Blizzard. 😢 Thank you for all the laughter and fun we shared. I will miss you.”
Brode was keen to respond to the tweet with a short quip:
“Weird! It was mine too…”
As they are off to “hopefully make games,” we shall see what a new director and executive producer can bring to the future of Hearthstone.
