PS4 Entering Final Phase of Life Cycle

During Sony’s Corporate Strategy Meeting, John Kodera of PlayStation stated that the PlayStation 4 is entering the end of its lifecycle. Do not fret! Revenue from PS Plus is at an all-time high and will easily offset the decline of hardware sales. Sony also does not have any plans to discontinue the PS4 any time soon. It is expected to still sell very well due to the next installment of exclusive games including The Last of Us: Part IISpider-Man, and others to come.

The next iteration of the console is rumored to be released around 2020 or 2021. We shall see what Sony plans to bring to the table for that, but will remain focused on the E3 conference right around the corner.
