Blizzard has announced an upcoming patch for their popular hero shooter, Overwatch. This patch has been labeled a “remaster” in an email from Blizzard.
According to Kotaku, the patch is intended to improve load times, optimize memory for “constrained systems,” reduce hard drive space used by the PS4 version, fix bugs “across many maps,” and make changes to data formats to “support future content.”
This patch will require a full reinstall of the game in order for all of the optimizations and other changes to patch efficiently. See the forum post below from Blizzard Customer Support:
This patch will also include the new hero, Ashe, along with her robot friend B.O.B, both of which have been a great addition and can be played in the PTR.
